Sweet, it's time to sweat

Two-if-not-more-a-days are here, which means if you haven't already been thinking football 'round the clock, it's high time to start doing so.

In your completely unbiased opinion, area football-lovers, coach Sly would like to hear which area team is the best in certain areas.

Coach Sly will start by taking a few stabs:

Best skill players on offense: Kaneland. Camiliere, Fleming, Bailey, etc. But what kind of ground game does Kaneland have cooking?

Best O-line: St. Charles North. The North Stars have some size to work with, Sly hears, more than half the battle. Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles East lost some prize hogs.

Best defense: St. Charles East. Payne and Voytilla are nice building blocks. If the Saints can get a few more guys to play at a high level, this D could be pretty scary.

Best team overall: Geneva. The Vikings deserve the benefit of the doubt, even after losing a frightening amount of talent from last year.

Coach Sly can hear the whistles blowin' and is eager to find out your thoughts about our area teams!
