STC schools

Coach Sly enjoyed the story over the weekend looking back at East and North sports 10 years after the split.

Feeder programs aside, Sly's not so sure North hasn't already caught up with East, all things considered. You look at programs like boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, baseball, softball and tennis and it's been a challenge for the Saints to keep up with the newbies in recent years.

It might not be the glory days in STC like the years leading up to the split but all in all you have two strong high school programs in town and more chances for the kids to excel. A pretty good rivalry between the two schools, too ... maybe not quite as heated as Batavia/Geneva, but that's alright ... it's a different kinda rivalry.

What do you St. Charles people think? Are the two programs pretty even these days, or do you think one side or the other is the pride of St. Charles?
