IHSA honors Kull

The IHSA on Wednesday announced St. Charles East girls volleyball coach Jennie Kull as its 2008-09 girls volleyball coach of the year, making her eligible for consideration for sectional and national awards.

Kull coached the Saints to a 38-4 record and the IHSA Class 4A state title last fall, her second championship at the school since she took over in 1997.

East plans to honor Kull before the start of the Saints' Sept. 29 home match against Waubonsie Valley.
