WSC hoops standout Threloff ISU-bound
DeKalb senior center Jordan Threloff might best be known in these parts for breaking his nose during a physical game at Western Sun Conference rival Geneva last season.
On Friday, the 6-foot-10 Threloff got a jump start toward making a new name for himself by verbally committing to Illinois State during the Redbirds' Midnight Madness. The visit was his "eighth or ninth" to the campus, and Threloff said the feeling was right.
"I've kind of thought it would be cool to be able to do this at a team's midnight madness," Threloff told the Daily-Chronicle in DeKalb. "I went down there and everything just felt right. It clicked. Everything felt good."
Another WSC big man – Kaneland senior Dave Dudzinski, a close friend of Threloff's – also expects to make his college choice before the hoops season tips off next month. Dudzinski is considering Holy Cross, Austin Peay, Loyola and Evansville, among other schools.
