Preps 24/7: See you back at Shabbona

The IHSA on Thursday released assignments for its April 23 bass fishing sectionals, and hardly made a splash where Chronicle-area teams were concerned.

Aurora Christian, Batavia, Geneva, Marmion, St. Charles East and St. Charles North each will return to Shabbona Lake, where the schools took part in one of the nation's inaugural tournaments in 2009. North and Marmion advanced out of the sectional, with North eventually finishing third in the state behind Frankfort and Zion-Benton.

The 2010 state tournament is set for May 7-8 at downstate Carlyle Lake.
