Preps 24/7: Batavia resident Jorgensen shines in Cornerstone debut

Batavia resident Michael Jorgensen enjoyed a strong first weekend for the Cornerstone Christian Academy boys basketball team.

Jorgensen, a junior guard for the Sycamore-based school, earned first-team all-tournament honors as the team swept a seven-game slate at Bethel Christian Academy in downstate South Roxana.

A Batavia transfer, Jorgensen averaged 14 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals.
