Illinois shut out of SI's high school football Top 25

High school football season ended about a month ago for Chronicle-area teams, but the final round of state championships nationwide were not concluded until this past weekend.

With that in mind, Sports Illustrated unveiled its final national Top 25 of the season. While the list did not include a team from the area – which isn't a snub – it surprisingly was without an overall representative from Illinois, which crowns eight champions.
