Coach Sly: Gifts for area basketball teams

If Coach Sly could play Santa, here would be a few gifts that would be doled out to our Tri-Cities area boys basketball teams:

Batavia: NBA rules for Cole Gardner (six fouls).

Geneva: The rest of the season at full strength. The Vikes have been good without some of their main guys. Let's see what they can do when everyone's healthy.

Kaneland: A mid-semester, 6-foot-8 move-in. The Knights are a good team as is, but with a little height ...

St. Charles East: A hot streak for Kendall Stephens. Stephens hasn't played his best ball yet this year, but when it comes, the Saints will be a load.

St. Charles North: Winning a game on a buzzer-beater. Seems like the karma just hasn't been there for the North Stars these past couple years. Maybe winning one they shouldn't would help them reverse course.
