Preps 24/7: Brown true to St. Charles North, not NFC North

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The Chronicle is set to catch up with St. Charles North alum Patrick Brown in Tuesday's edition, seeing how he fared during his first season as an offensive lineman on the Minnesota Vikings' active roster.

Brown played in all 16 games for the Vikings, but it turns out he wants divisional rivals Green Bay and Detroit to be part of no more than 17. If those teams are one and done in the NFL postseason – the way the Lions were in Saturday's wild card game – all the better. There's no NFC North allegiance.

"The playoffs, I don't really root for anybody," Brown said. "If I turn it on, I hope to see a good game, and hopefully I see the Packers and Lions lose."
