Former Kaneland athlete Daniel Helm faced that fate during a recent game when, while scooping the ball backward for an out-of-bounds save, saw it take an unexpected path.

Helm, a sophomore at downstate Chatham Glenwood, took the play in stride, as you'll see in the attached video.
