UEC playoff crossovers coming into view for girls hoops teams
St. Charles North held its girls basketball senior night on Tuesday, but the home crowd still will get to see the North Stars one more time.
North and the rest of its Upstate Eight Conference River Division brethren will host a UEC crossover on Feb. 9-10, taking on the Valley team with the corresponding finish in a first-time development for the league.
"We're looking forward to it," North Stars senior guard Megan Booe said. "One more time at home is always nice."
River champ Geneva will host the Valley champ on Feb. 10, but the other six River-Valley matchups are set for one day earlier.
The Vikings will face either Bartlett or Waubonsie Valley. Both teams have one conference loss after the Warriors handed then-unbeaten Bartlett its first defeat last week.
