Bill Foster press release: Durbin endorses Foster
U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, announced Wednesday that he is endorsing Bill Foster for Congress in the newly created 11th Congressional District.
“As a scientist and a businessman, Bill Foster has the first-hand experience we need to create jobs and stop the partisan gridlock in Washington,” said Durbin. “In times like these, we need leaders, like Bill Foster, who have the experience to carefully consider the issues and get our economy back on track.”
“I am proud to have the support of Sen. Durbin in this campaign,” said Bill Foster.
“Sen. Durbin understands that we need to end the partisan bickering in Washington and focus on getting our economy back on track. As a scientist and businessman, I have the first-hand experience creating jobs and working to find solutions.”
Durbin joins a growing list of prominent local supporters including Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, former Illinois Comptroller Dawn Clark Netsch, former US Senator Adlai Stevenson III, Mayor Tom Weisner of Aurora and Mayor Tom Giarrante of Joliet.
