Prep roundup: Doubles sweep sends St. Charles North boys tennis past Batavia

BATAVIA – St. Charles North boys tennis coach Sean Masoncup isn’t shy about identifying the North Stars’ identity.

“It’s sort of been our M.O. all year that we’ve been a great doubles team,” he said. “In doubles, you really have to be the aggressors, and we’ve done that while finding groups that really feed off and play well with each other.”

North continued that trend when it counted most Thursday, sweeping doubles play to edge Upstate Eight Conference River Division rival Batavia, 4-3, to stay undefeated in the league.
