Detroit Tigers left-hander Casey Crosby is expected to make his Major League Baseball debut on Friday, the Detroit Free Press has reported.
Doug Fister's move to the disabled list created an opening in the starting rotation, leaving Crosby to start against the New York Yankees at Detroit's Comerica Park.
A 2007 Kaneland alum, Crosby was a fifth-round selection of the Tigers that summer after going 6-2 as a Knights senior with 92 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings.
