Justin Bowman, St. Charles East, Jr.
A Lake Park Sectional runner-up to Koenen, East's No. 2 singles standout paced the Saints with 28 victories and went 2-2 at the state meet.
Josh Cogan, Batavia, Sr.
The four-time Kane County Chronicle Player of the Year, Cogan was undefeated as a senior until the second day of the state tournament and finished 32-2.
Jasper Koenen, St. Charles East, So.
Koenen, 28-5, won three successive consolation elimination matches on the second day of the state tournament before falling in the seventh round.
DOUBLES
Dom Amalraj (Jr.) & Danny Oakes (Sr.), St. Charles North
An all-area singles player last spring, Amalraj formed a quick chemistry with Oakes, a state tournament entrant with four different partners. Oakes finished as the winningest player in North history (124 victories) after combining for 30 wins with Amalraj, including conference and sectional championships.
Ricky Angsten (So.) & Kevin Hoss (So.), Marmion
Angsten, a St. Charles resident, and Hoss, of Sugar Grove, helped Marmion to its first unblemished regular season and fourth straight Suburban Christian Conference title.
Chris Pattermann (Sr.) & Jackson Rettig (Jr.), Marmion
This pair went 27-0 during the regular season and rolled again to start the postseason as Marmion claimed its first team sectional title. They advanced to the second day of state competition and finished 3-2.
Grant Spellman (So.) and Cam Staroske (Sr.), St. Charles North
Reunited for the sectional after Spellman teamed with Bobby Dunteman for a conference crown, Spellman and Staroske earned a state berth.
