Uncorked: Genoa winemaker takes best in show – again
The attainment of legendary status has arrived for Rick Mamoser.
For the third straight year the Prairie State winemaker and owner has won Best in Show at the Illinois State Fair Wine Competition. But this year it wasn’t the Cabernet Franc, which won the past two years, a panel of industry experts singled out as being the state’s top wine.
This was a pleasant surprise for Mamoser.
