Face Time with Mary Geisen

Virgil resident Mary Geisen, 28, was working on her laptop at Graham’s 318 in Geneva when she answered nine questions for Kane County Chronicle intern Meaghan Kilroy.

Where did you grow up? Virgil.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Drew Barrymore or Cameron Diaz, a fusion of the two.

First job? I worked at a dog kennel when I was 14 or 15 years old.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a veterinarian or a marine biologist, something with animals.

A movie you’d recommend? I just saw “Brave,” but I want to see “Moonrise Kingdom.”

Favorite charity? I ran the Chicago Shamrock Shuffle in March. The race benefits a number of charities.

Hobbies? I like to read, see movies and go out.

Favorite local restaurant? Sergio’s Cantina in Geneva. It was delicious. I’m also a Graham’s 318 junkie.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? Once when I was younger, my nose broke in seven places.
