Tonight is the first night of the season for Kane County's Friday night lights. A great time of year for photographers who love sports. The emotion, tradition and sportsmanship at high school football games is what I look forward to most as summer winds down and evenings get a little chillier.
I missed the first week of this year's practices because of a vacation I had planned since last March. My first stop once I got back was to document St. Charles North and their coach, Mark Gould, in his final year as head coach.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Fabian Lara (center) goofed around with teammate Nick McCullough (far left) and Matt Pretet (far right) during a water break. Now that's teamwork.
