Letter: ‘We’ve given all you people need to know’

To the Editor:

There are still major issues hanging over the Romney campaign. When is he going to release more tax returns? He has, to date, released one year – 2010 – and an estimate for 2011. Estimates are subject to change.

One of his latest statements on the subject raised more questions. He said he had gone back into his returns and that he had never paid less than 13 percent taxes. Does that include real estate and sales tax? We already know he has a number of multimillion dollar homes. Is the public pleased that he said he paid at least 13 percent last year when most of us pay at least 15 percent and many in his income bracket pay at least 30 percent?
