Valparaiso junior goalkeeper Kristen Manski, a St. Charles North alum, was named Horizon League Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Manski posted successive shutouts over the weekend, making six saves in Saturday's 2-0 win against Western Michigan before stopping two shots in a 3-0 victory against Bowling Green Sunday.
Manski boasts four shutouts through seven games this season. Her 16 career shutouts stand just four behind Valpo's career record.
