Sugar Grove police reports

• Two tires were reportedly slashed in the 700 block of Queens Gate Circle between Sunday, Aug. 5, and Saturday, Aug. 11. Replacement costs were $325.

• Matthew W. Pflieger, 28, of the 2000 block of West Illinois Avenue, Aurora, was charged Thursday, Aug. 16, with driving with a defective windshield, driving without a license and violating an order of protection. He was also arrested on a DeKalb County warrant for failing to appear in court.

• Andrew Aparicio, 22, of the 2200 block of Gettysburg Drive, Aurora, was charged Friday, Aug. 17, with possession of marijuana, driving without insurance and speeding in a construction zone.

• Elsa M. Kapambwe, 22, of the 300 block of Mulhern Court, Yorkville, was charged Friday, Aug. 17, with possession of marijuana.

• A $2,000 electric guitar, a $750 acoustic guitar and a $298 32-inch flat-screen TV were reportedly stolen from a garage in the 100 block of Calkins Drive between Friday, Aug. 17, and Sunday, Aug. 19.

• Christopher M. Whetstone, 44, of the 1400 block of Westwood, Aurora, was charged Saturday, Aug. 18, with disorderly conduct and aggravated obstruction of police.

• Jeremy R. Hardman, 24, of the 400 block of College Avenue, DeKalb, was charged Monday, Aug. 20, with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. He was also arrested on a Kane County warrant for failing to appear in court.

• About $1,200 in yard maintenance equipment – a lawn mower, a rototiller and two trimmers – were reportedly stolen between Wednesday, Aug. 22, and Thursday, Aug. 23, in the 0-100 block of First Street.

• About $350 in drywall tools and about $200 in connectors, couplings and fasteners were reportedly stolen between Wednesday, Aug. 22, and Thursday, Aug. 23, from the Walgreens construction site, 376 N. Route 47.

• A burglary was reported Saturday, Aug. 25, at Jimmy John’s, 472 N. Route 47, Suite 100. Three cash registers were missing money, and the safe appeared to have been drilled into.

• William A. Toliver, 31, of the 500 block of Conservatory Lane, Aurora, was arrested Thursday, Aug. 30, on two McLean County warrants on charges of forgery and driving under the influence of drugs.

• Dan R. Grote, 36, of the 3800 block of Bailey Drive, Yorkville, was charged Friday, Aug. 31, with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal, disobeying a stop sign and improper lane use.

• Shane Serpa, 21, of the 0-100 block of Stanley Street, Sugar Grove, was charged Monday, Sept. 3, with criminal damage to government supported property, criminal damage to property, failure to notify police after striking property and failure to reduce speed following a hit-and-run accident in the 300 block of Snow Street. A concrete light post was heavily damaged; replacement costs were estimated at $3,000 to $4,000.
