Marmion’s Abbey Farms Pumpkin Daze, located at 850 Butterfield Road in Aurora, will open Sept. 22.

The farm will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays, noon to 6 p.m. Sundays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Columbus Day. The farm will operate every weekend through Oct. 28.

On opening day, there will be a Kids Fun Run through the corn maze at 3:30 p.m., followed by the second annual Run For the Pink Twilight 5K at 4 p.m.

General admission to the farm is $9 per person; children ages  2 and younger are admitted for free with a parent admission, and senior discounts are also available.

The farm boasts having one of Kane County’s largest corn mazes. The farm also offers hayrides, a family game zone, big wheel racetrack, tee-pee town adventure course, classic tractors exhibit and evening campfires.

New attractions for the 2012 season include a kid-friendly corn maze, new jumpy huts, and a petting zoo for the first three weekends in October. The farm also offers pumpkins for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting the ministries of the monks of Marmion Abbey.

This year, the Tumbleweed Grill and Snack Stand will offer homemade apple cider doughnuts, funnel cakes and an unlimited apple toppings bar.

The barn store will offer jams, jellies, hot sauces, salsas and fruit butters. There will also be artisan-made gifts that include handmade soaps and bath items as well as flameless candles, chocolates and pottery.
