Weekend Chit-chat with ... Marmion boys golfer Liam Creamer
Marmion boys golfer Liam Creamer knows he has had more than just one difficult hole this season. Still, the nature of his opening 10 at Saturday’s Batavia Invitational at Fox Valley helps one of Marmion’s top golfers narrow his struggles down, for better or worse. A Cadets senior and resident of Geneva’s Mill Creek area, Creamer stays passionate about golf despite its ups and downs, and discussed his season to date with Kane County Chronicle sports reporter Kevin Druley for this week’s edition of the Weekend Chit-chat. Creamer also touched on the looming postseason and his college prospects. The following is an edited transcript:
Was there any solidarity aspect to that sextuple bogey 10?
There was another kid from Benet [Academy] who put one drive out on the same hole, so you’re kind of together with that. I just found a way through it. ... Three tee shots out of bounds. The fourth one landed in the fairway.
