Erin Schaefer’s journey started with an impressive weight loss of nearly 100 pounds, a feat that required hours of hard work and help from a fitness trainer. But she said she didn’t really find her true path to a career in fitness until she did something as simple as open a newspaper.

Perusing a list of the top-10 jobs of 2010 in January of that year, she spotted one she thought was perfect – personal trainer checked in at No. 3. Just like that, she had found her calling. And from a boot camp that year to a business in downtown LaFox that started in January, she has met her goals.

The only problem? She was outgrowing her space in LaFox.
