BATAVIA – The Kiwanis Club of Batavia recently awarded two scholarships to Batavia High School students.

Katelyn Klemm received the Student of the Month Scholarship. She was one of eight students nominated during the year for recognition as an outstanding student. Meanwhile, Chelsie Dean received the Community Builder Award for outstanding service to the school and community.

Both scholarships were based on academic achievement and service.

The Kiwanis Club and BHS Key Club are looking for former BHS Key Clubbers to help plan the 25th anniversary celebration of the charter of the oldest youth service club at BHS.
