Geneva resident Renee Spitzig, 46, was volunteering at the St. Peter Barn Sale when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Independence, Ohio.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Demi Moore.

First job? At a hair salon.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be in the Olympics, but instead I’m a stay-at-home mom.

A book you’d recommend? “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon.

What is your guilty pleasure? Candy.

Favorite charity? St. Peter Barn Sale.

Hobbies? Gardening.

Favorite local restaurant? Lumes Pancake House in Batavia.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I survived three hurricanes, Erin, Opal and Nicki – two in Hawaii, one in Florida – and two typhoons in Japan.
