Sugar Grove woman charged with theft from credit union

A Sugar Grove woman has been charged with stealing more than $30,000 from the Aurora Firefighters Credit Union.

Anne Schaal, 66, of the 0-100 block of Birchwood Court, Sugar Grove, has been charged with theft and unlawful use of a credit card, both felonies. She was the president of the union from July 1996 until November 2011.

Schaal posted $5,000 bail earlier this month. A court hearing is set for Oct. 5.
