Photographer, filmmaker to display work

Elgin Community College alumnus, photographer and filmmaker Sandro Miller will be showcasing his work Oct. 2 through Nov. 3 at the college’s Spartan Drive campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

ELGIN – Elgin Community College alumnus Sandro Miller, also a photographer and filmmaker, will showcase his work Oct. 2 through Nov. 3 at the college’s Spartan Drive campus, 1700 Spartan Drive.

Miller will also give a presentation about his work at 1 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Spartan Auditorium, Room G100, Building G. The exhibit and presentation are free and open to the public.

Miller has photographed national advertising campaigns; and he was named one of the 200 best advertising photographers by “Archive Magazine” for four years. His photographs have also been included in more than eight books.

On the film side, during an awards ceremony in Cannes, France, in 2011, Miller’s film “Butterflies,” featuring John Malkovich, was selected to be included in the Saatchi and Saatchi Best New Directors Showcase.
