Prep roundup: Burlington Central soccer handles Marengo

BURLINGTON – Senior forward Bryce Warner had two goals and an assist Tuesday, helping the Burlington Central boys soccer team defeat Big Northern Conference East rival Marengo, 3-1.

Warner, the team leader with nine goals, has scored four times in the past two matches.

“He’s been hot lately, and I hope he can continue to ride that going into the last couple weeks of the season and postseason,” Rockets coach Mike Gecan said. “He’s been one of our strongest offensive players and finishers, for sure.”
