ST. CHARLES – River Rock Fest, a three-day music festival, is being put on by the River Rockhouse to support and raise awareness for autism through the charity Talk About Curing Autism.
The event will take place Sept. 28 through 30 inside the rockhouse (formerly Chord on Blues), 106 S. Riverside Ave.
The festival will feature live music, food vendors, bags, a beer garden and raffles.
The festival’s live-music will take place from 5 to 10:15 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The groups Broken Vegas, Hi Infidelity, Bad Day, Infinity, 1 Sam 10, Bloody Mary, Triangle Green, Hyperflo, and Lincoln Don’t Lie will perform Friday and Saturday.
Sunday is “Family Fun Day” and will feature an RC car race track, touch a truck, face painting, bounce houses and games, as well as music from local youth bands MECCA and The Giving Moon. The cover bands Modern Day Romeos and 7th Heaven will also perform on Sunday.
The admission cost is $5 before 9 p.m. and $10 after 9 p.m. Children ages 12 years old and younger, and seniors will be admitted for free. After 10 p.m. the event is limited to adults ages 21 and older.
Profits from the event will be donated to TACA. Parking is free and available in the 2nd Avenue and Walnut Street parking lot.
