Warning issued in Geneva collision

GENEVA – No tickets were given, but a written warning was issued in a two-car collision that took place Tuesday on Randall and Kaneville roads in Geneva. The collision injured one driver, according to police reports.

The collision occurred when a 1994 Oldsmobile 88 Royale, waiting in the left-turn lane for Kaneville Road, turned as a second vehicle, a 2004 Honda Civic, entered the intersection.

The front of the Honda, driven by America A. Whalen, 25, of the 400 block of Richmond Avenue, Elburn, struck the front of the Oldsmobile, driven by Martha Huske, 86, of the 2000 block of Pepper Valley Drive, Geneva, causing it to spin 90 degrees.
