Defense leads St. Charles North football to 3rd straight win

STREAMWOOD – Although it took a little while for St. Charles North to get its offense started, the North Stars did just enough to get their third-straight victory Friday night.

North relied on its defense and received a solid effort from senior defensive back Nick McCullough as it defeated the Sabres, 31-14, in an Upstate Eight Conference River Divsion battle.

“Streamwood’s a tough team, so it was good for our guys to overcome the first half,” North coach Mark Gould said. “They came after us with their best shot, but our kids came out in the second half and gave them their best shot. They responded well.”

What do you think of people using fireworks near their homes?

That shouldn't be tolerated. It's dangerous.
I'd never do it, but I'll watch others.
It's OK so long as the fireworks are legal.
It's not a problem. It's just a way to celebrate.
I have no opinion.
