Maisto back on top as Burlington Central softball coach
BURLINGTON – Burlington Central announced Monday that Wade Maisto is back for another stint as the school’s softball coach.
Maisto brings 21 years of softball coaching and Hall of Fame experience back to Central. After serving as a head coach from 1984 to 1998, Maisto was the assistant coach from 2005 to 2009, when he had the opportunity to coach both of his daughters.
Maisto also has coached travel softball with the Wasco Diamonds.
Maisto, a Larkin graduate, has also been a boys and girls basketball coach at the high school and middle school levels.
He replaces Cray Allen, who stepped down during the summer to become softball coach at Harper College.
