Prep Football Insider: North’s Stutesman taking aim

Veteran St. Charles North coach Mark Gould finds his final season more than halfway complete, but he’s still just as excited about an important career first as he was on the opening day of practice.

Junior placekicker Kat Stutesman approached Gould about joining the team when she was a driver education student of Gould’s last school year, and has more than followed through with her commitment as the program’s first female varsity player.

Stutesman’s 23-yard field goal and 4-for-4 effort on extra points at Streamwood on Friday helped North to its third straight win.

What do you think of people using fireworks near their homes?

That shouldn't be tolerated. It's dangerous.
I'd never do it, but I'll watch others.
It's OK so long as the fireworks are legal.
It's not a problem. It's just a way to celebrate.
I have no opinion.
