U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Winfield, was recently honored by two different pro-business groups for his voting record in the 112th Congress.

The National Association of Manufacturers awarded Hultgren with its NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence for consistently voting for pro-business and pro-manufacturing policies. While the threshold for the award was a 70 percent favorable voting record, Hultgren posted 92 percent.

Hultgren also scored a 100 percent on the Business Coalition for Fair Competition’s Key Vote Scorecard. The perfect score was awarded for voting in favor of free enterprise on 10 key pieces of legislation over the past two years.

This is Hultgren’s second 100 percent pro-business rating in two weeks. He also received a perfect score from the National Federation of Independent Business and their Guardian of Small Business award, announced Sept. 14.
