Prep Roundup: St. Charles East shuts out Plainfield North in boys soccer
ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles East boys soccer team blasted Plainfield North, 7-0, on Monday night in a nonconference match.
Zach Manibog scored a pair of goals in quick succession before halftime to pad East’s lead to 4-0. T.C. Hull and Andrew Shone also scored twice for East (12-2-1) and Taylor Ortiz chipped in with what coach Paul Jennison called a ‘fantastic’ second goal of the night into the top, corner of the net.
“It was a nice game for us to get today after the homecoming weekend,” East coach Paul Jennison said. “It was good for the boys to get back to their winning ways and get focused in as we roll into Larkin tomorrow, which is a massive game in the standings.”
