Candidates set for forum at Gail Borden Public Library

ELGIN – The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area will present a candidate forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin. Organizers encourage those who attend to bring questions to be asked of the candidates. Among those scheduled to appear are those involved in races affecting the Kane County Chronicle's coverage area, including:
• Kane County board chairman candidates Sue Klinkhamer and Chris Lauzen.
• Circuit clerk candidates Tom Hartwell and Ed Nendick.
• Coroner candidates Tao Martinez and Rob Russell.
• County board candidates Jennifer Barconi and Mike Kenyon.
