Friends of TriCity Family Services celebrate fall with Fashion Show

GENEVA – The Friends of TriCity Family Services celebrated its second annual Fall Fashion Show on Sept. 27 at the Mill Creek Clubhouse.

More than 100 guests attended the event.

Entertainment was provided after dinner, as models demonstrated the latest fashions from Jeans and a Cute Top Shop (St. Charles) and jewelry from K. Hollis Jewelers (Batavia).

The event raised more than $1,000, with proceeds benefitting the Friends of TriCity Family Services and the agency’s client families in need.

Kristie Dienst, of Geneva, was also honored and presented with the 15th annual Judy Burgess Award for volunteer services.

In addition to serving as a chair for an annual benefit in 2008 and 2009, and playing an essential role in the creation and start up of the agency’s Snowflake Shuffle 5K, Poinsettia Sale and Savory Sips fundraising event, Dienst ascended to vice presidency and presidency.

In her two-year tour of duty as president of the Friends, she participated in a building project for the development department and presided over the Friends during the past year, moving special event revenue for the agency from $64,000 to more than $103,000 in one year.
