To the Editor:

As we complete our 49th year in St. Charles, the Noon Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all the individuals and businesses who have contributed to our fundraising activities during the year. These activities, including the Peanut Day Drive, Rose Day, Golf Outing and others, raised over $95,000 in donations.

Because of this generosity, our club has been able to award monetary grants to more than 30 organizations dealing with children in the Tri-City area. These include the Association for Individual Development, Anderson Animal Shelter, Builders and Key clubs, CASA Kane County, Community Crisis Center, Ecker Center, Elgin Youth Symphony, Fox Valley Pregnancy Center, Fox Valley Hospice, Fox Valley Repertory, Fox Valley Special Recreation Association, Girl Scouts – Fox Valley, Humanitarian Service Project, Kane County Juvenile Drug Court, Lazarus House, Literacy Volunteers, Little Angels, Living Well Cancer Resource Center, Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Riverwoods Christian Center, Royal Family Kids Camp, St. Charles East and North high school scholarships, Spastic Paralysis and Eliminate projects, St. Charles Public Library Foundation, STC Underground/St. Charles Park District Teen Center, Salvation Army, Shelter Assistance Committee, Steel Beam Theater, Boy Scouts – Three Fires Council, TriCity Family Services, TriCity Health Partnership, Tri-City school supply, Visiting Nurses of Fox Valley, Well Child Dental Program, Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, and Young Life.
