County candidates to appear at forum in Batavia

BATAVIA – Candidates for county offices will be headed to Batavia for a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County. The event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Batavia City Council Chambers, 101 N. Island Ave. The public is invited to come and ask questions. The election is set for Nov. 6. For information, visit www.lwvckc.org or call 630-879-2263. Among the candidates scheduled to appear:
• County board chairman candidates, Democrat Sue Klinkhamer and Republican Chris Lauzen.
• Coroner candidates, Democrat Tao Martinez and Republican Rob Russell.
• Recorder candidates, Democrat Brenda Rodgers and Republican Sandy Wegman.
• Circuit clerk candidates, Republican Tom Hartwell and Democrat Ed Nendick.
