• A man, 21, of the 800 block of Edgewood Drive, Sugar Grove, told police someone had smashed the rear drivers’ side window of his 2003 Ford SUV on Sept. 27 while it was parked in front of a residence in the 100 block of West Park Avenue, where the man said he was dog-sitting for a relative.

• Jack Rickert, 20, of the 200 block of Carriage Hill Drive, Aurora, was charged Sept. 27 with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Francisco Cantu IV, 30, of the 100 block of North Lew Street, Plano, was charged Sept. 30 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, speeding (74 mph in a 55 mph zone) and improper lane usage.
