Jotham Stein to run for St. Charles mayor

ST. CHARLES – The man who challenged Don DeWitte in the 2009 mayoral race announced Monday he will again seek that post next spring.

Jotham Stein, a business lawyer and author, will join 3rd Ward alderman Ray Rogina in the race for St. Charles mayor. DeWitte announced in August he would not seek a third term.

“It would be an honor to be mayor of St. Charles and represent the people of our city," Stein said in a written statement. "My top priority will be to bring businesses into our city. We have a fantastic community, but throughout our city, we have lost businesses and the jobs and tax revenue they represent."
