Geneva police reports

• The sidewalk in front of Geneva School District 304’s Coultrap facility, 1113 Peyton St., was reported vandalized Monday, Sept. 3. According to police reports, a swastika and three unknown symbols were spray painted on the sidewalk in orange. The cost to clean the damage was $200.

• Christopher A. Brown, 23, of the 0-100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, Geneva, was charged Saturday, Sept. 29, with driving under the influence, obstructing and resisting a police officer. According to the charges, Brown caused bodily harm to a Geneva officer who suffered numerous abrasions to his right wrist and both knees while Brown was resisting arrest.

• Dustin A. Westrom, 24, of the 2200 block of Vanderbilt Drive, Geneva, was charged Thursday, Oct. 4, with driving under the influence and speeding.

• Robert W. Wilson, 53, of the 800 block of Birchwood Drive, Aurora, was charged Friday, Oct. 5, with retail theft and possession of a theft detection device. According to police reports, Wilson took two pairs of athletic shoes valued at $119.11 from The Sports Authority, 1777 S. Randall Road.

• Danessa A. Swafford, 42, of the 100 block of South Tyler Road, St. Charles, was charged Friday, Oct. 5, with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Obscene and gang-related graffiti was reported Monday, Oct. 8, on an exterior wall at JCF Real Estate, 715 Hamilton St.

• A global positioning device and radar detector were reported stolen Thursday, Oct. 11, from a car parked in the 800 block of Westfield Course. The items were valued $275.

• Arsanios A. Assad, 18, of the 600 block of Bluff Street, Carol Stream, was charged Thursday, Oct. 11, with possession of drug equipment.

• Daniel J. Miller, 23, of the 600 block of Highbury Lane, Geneva, was charged Thursday, Oct. 11, with possession of drug equipment and 5.7 grams of marijuana.

• Thomas R. Grimston, 21, of the 1400 block of Thoria Drive, Batavia, was charged Saturday, Oct. 13, with battery and public intoxication. According to police reports, Grimston struck the victim in the back of the head with a full 12-oz beer bottle, lacerating the victim’s head.

• Carl R. Masters, 32, of the 200 block of Beatrice Avenue, St Charles, was charged Sunday, Oct. 14, with possession of drug paraphernalia and .5 grams of marijuana.
