First job? In a men’s clothing store

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher. Instead, I work in marketing/communications.

A movie you’d recommend? “The Descendants”

What is your guilty pleasure? Wine. Chardonnay

Favorite charity? American Cancer Society

Favorite local restaurant? Bien Trucha in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met actor Taye Diggs from “Private Practice” at a book signing of his children’s book, “Chocolate Me!”

Anything else? I worked for a company that was a sponsor of a NASCAR driver. For about five years, I got to travel around the country watching the NASCAR circuit. I met a lot of drivers and a lot of teams, and it was a lot of fun.
