COACH OF THE YEAR

Mark Meyer, Kaneland

Meyer presided over a goal-minded Knights team that won its third straight Northern Illinois Big 12 East title before securing the program’s first team trip to the 2A state meet since 1995. “Obviously, they would be happy if any of the individuals made it down,” Meyer said, “but even though we were rained out on that last day, it was a great accomplishment to advance as a team. We’ve gotten progressively better through the years and we’re excited about what we can do next year.”
