Gresey: Chronicle wins awards from NINA

The Kane County Chronicle won 15 awards last week at the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association’s annual fall conference.

First-place awards were for best website (staff), best editorial (Kane County Chronicle Editorial Board), best education reporting (Ashley Rhodebeck) and best technology/medical story (Rhodebeck).

The Chronicle also received second-place awards for best spot news story (Jonathan Bilyk), best business/financial/consumer story (Bilyk), best religion story (Brenda Schory), best special section (staff), best online photo gallery (Sandy Bressner) and best editorial (Kane County Chronicle Editorial Board). In addition, it received third-place awards for best sports columnist (Jay Schwab), best news story series (Bilyk), best business/financial/consumer story (Bilyk), best technology/medical story (Bilyk) and best personality profile (Schory).
