Letters to the Editor

Letter: Not lost to the system

To the Editor:

Leslie Coolidge, candidate for the newly formed 6th Congressional District that overlaps parts of many towns and multiple counties, understands big budgets as a retired partner of KPMG LLP.

She knows how to explain the importance of funding bills before they are passed and can help others understand the impact on our pockets. She will stand up for the rights of women, including reproductive rights and health care.

Leslie will support Social Security and Medicare as the successful programs they are today and wants to reduce the subsidies to the oil companies that already make billions of dollars in profit.

She knows that we need to create jobs so that we can stop the ever-shrinking middle class.

Trickle down doesn't work. Leslie is almost a polar opposite of her opponent, Peter Roskam, and is a true moderate. Please vote for this woman who isn't lost to the system as her opponent is. For more information, visit www.coolidgeforcongress.com.
