$50,000 in drugs seized; St. Charles man arrested
ST. CHARLES – Authorities seized about $50,000 in marijuana and other controlled substances while executing a search warrant in St. Charles, according to a news release from the North Central Narcotics Task Force.
Members of the task force and the St. Charles Police Department reportedly seized about 2,002 grams of marijuana, 505 grams of THC-laced candies and gum, 35 grams of THC oil, 30 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 0.45 grams of cocaine and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia from an apartment in the 100 block of Walnut Drive.
The release did not say when it happened.
Clark C. Weaver, 20, of St. Charles, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, a Class 1 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class 2 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Edward E. Spitzer III, 20, of St. Charles, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
The North Central Narcotics Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement task force investigates illicit drug trafficking and distribution, gang activity and weapon offenses within Kane, McHenry and DeKalb counties.
