Letter: Oppose constitutional amendment

To the Editor:

Millions of Illinois taxpayer dollars are being spent to place the constitutional amendment on the November general election ballot. I urge you to vote no.

If this amendment is successful, how much money will it save our state? Not one penny. This amendment is being promoted by House Speaker Michael Madigan as real tough medicine. The real tough medicine is the waste of taxpayer dollars to have this unnecessary amendment placed on the ballot.
