Students of Primrose Schools learn about voting

With the presidential election rapidly approaching, the Primrose Schools in Kane County (Algonquin and South Elgin) taught students about citizenship and the value of voting through an election that took place Oct. 30. Preschoolers voted for a new school mascot and a “Presidential Snack.”

The Primrose School of Algonquin winners were Billy the Duck by three votes, and yogurt and fruit by six votes. The Primrose School of South Elgin’s winners were Percy the Rooster by 11 votes, and pretzels and cheese by three votes.
